Frequently Asked Questions
Will my private health insurance cover Dietetics services?
Dietetics may be covered by your private health insurance. However, you will need to check with your private health insurance provider regarding your level of cover.

How many appointments will I require with a Dietitian?
The number of appointments required vary with each person, depending on your goals, the complexity of your medical history and how ready you are to make lifestyle changes. A general guide is a minimum of three sessions for those with a newly diagnosed condition. Your sessions will generally become more spaced out as you build knowledge and confidence. However, it is ultimately up to you how many sessions you would like and how often you would like to come along.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?
I understand that sometimes you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Please contact Camberwell Medical Group on 03 9835 7611 24 hours prior to your appointment or by close of business the Friday before your Monday appointment or a late cancellation fee may apply.

Do I need a referral?
You do not need a referral to see me as a private client. If you have any supporting information, such as blood tests, that you would like to share, please email these to me prior to your appointment.

Do you see NDIS clients?
Yes, I routinely see clients who are self managed and plan managed through NDIS. Unfortunately, at this stage, I am unable to see clients who are agency managed with NDIS.

What will happen in the initial consultation?
I will ask you questions to get to know you and to understand your current situation. After discussing your health, diet and lifestyle, I will work with you to develop individualised goals and assist you to achieve these across your appointments with me.
Do you offer Telehealth?
Yes! I offer both in person and Telehealth consultations. Telehealth is a great opportunity for those who have a busy schedule and don't have time to attend the clinic, those who do not live close to the clinic in Camberwell or those who simply prefer a virtual consultation!
